What's behind Mr. Anthony Taberna's Success?
His voice does not really sound good. He speaks tentatively and unsure. His opinions are often baseless. He hides behind his listeners text messages (if they really are) to get some points across. His interviews are shallow. Yet, he’s got primetime radio programs on DZMM.
He is neither cute nor handsome. He doesn’t look true. He does not even project a wholeseme image. Yet now, he is on TV!I knew nobody who listens to him. He is totally unremarkable. So, what is behind Anthony Taberna’s unbelievable success?

i know people who listen to him and like him as well. if you don't like him, well it's up to you, but i suggest don't be too judgemental. you don't really know the person.

I work as an MRO (media relations officer) for Congressman. I knew Anthony way back when he was assigned sa Senate.
In Congress, it's an open secret that he is a "Pagador" for the opposition. Pagador is a term we use for media men who works as PR. One of his principals is Rep Suplico. There are many instances when Anthony gave copies of Cong Rolex's PRs to the media there. The envelop follows around 6pm.
Pagador? Hmmm.
Anthony is a member of Iglesia ni Cristo, i guess he is a kind of a pastor for young members, if orgot their terms...i guess this is one reason...you know, having "white horse" gives you big advantage over others..i think you know what i mean...but i don't really agree to all your observations...i like anthony's way of attacking issues, incorporating sense of humor in delivering your opinion can break the monotonous, sloppy and boring traditional commentaries...i like it when they do their stuffs in dos por dos with his partner Baja.

Well as far as I know he is one of the few credible media man. Those who do not agree kill yourself.
I like Anthony a lot! the way he critisize the bad men! he has all the guts & the knowledge of the right critisms...If you are not aware & agree of it..then, you are belong to the group of MONSTERs who would like to do corruptions & anything that will cause poverty in this country..YOu must GO TO ANOTHER PLANET MIND YOU!!!

That goes both ways, my friend. Whatever he is doing is open to any interpretation. And obviously you have chosen your side.
It is very easy to deny even something which is very obvious... Some people would prefer to act and think stupid rather than face the truth. That is how low some people would go.
I've never heard of Anthony until I subscribed with TFC. I can tell he reminds me of our controversial politican Pauline Hansen. Why? Anthony can see the government's flaws and he raised these issues (I admire him for that) but the only problem is I haven't heard him proposing any solution to the problems.
I also noticed that this guy is so bias. I remember him saying before the elections that voters should be wise and not to vote for celebrities but the way he speaks against the incumbent government and how he favours former President Erap, it makes me doubt his sincerity as Erap is an actor... Oh well, I'd love to have a debate with you Mr Taberna...

check out youtube and search for athony taberna. you get to see a glimpse of his wedding. one of his sponsors is senator lacson. go figure. everything in our country is political. even the media.
In fairness to Mr. Taberna, many in showbiz get everyone to sponsor their weddings... I am sure Taberna would have wedding sponsors too that are pro-administration...
But what we can see here is that they are not ordinary folks. They have access to the rulers of this country. They really know what is going on and they are just playing with and on the perception of the people.

It seems that Taberna just cannot hide his closeness with Lacson.. the principal sponsor to his wedding (per aster amoyo). You just can see how credibility is not important to them.

THE recent wedding of DzMM’s popular radio commentator and field reporter Anthony Taberna (33) of Nueva Ecija and 22-year-old lass from Calamba, Laguna, Rossel Velasco which was held at the Iglesia ni Cristo temple on E. Rodriguez Avenue, Cubao, Quezon City last January 4 (Monday) was like a political event with the presence of political luminaries like Sen. Panfilo Lacson, Sen. Chiz Escudero, Sen. Allan Cayetano, former senators Ernesto Maceda and Robert ‘Bobby’ Jaworski, Eastern Samar Governor Ben Evardone, former Agriculture Secretary Arthur Yap, among others. Lacson headed the list of the principal sponsors while Sen. Escudero and Cayetano were among the secondary sponsors along with Julius Babao, Bayani Agbayani, Cheryl Cosim and Anthony Taberna’s radio partner in “Dos Por Dos,” Gerry Baja.
Spotted in the temple and at the wedding reception at the Grand Terrace in Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City were actor/TV host and OMB chairman Edu Manzano, Bernadette Sembrano and boyfriend Kawit, Cavite Vice-Mayor Emilio ‘Orange’ Aguinaldo IV, TV news anchor Alex Santos, Cheryl Cosim’s California-based businessman boyfriend, John Francis Alvarez, DzMM’s station manager Angelo Palmones and more.
Because of the prominent personalities who attended Anthony and Rossel’s afternoon wedding, it caused heavy traffic along E. Rodriguez Avenue.
After the reception, the newlyweds spent the night in their unfurnished conjugal house somewhere in Mindanao Avenue.
“Gusto kasi namin maranasan ang pagsisimula sa wala bilang mag-asawa hanggang sa unti-unti naming makumpleto ng mga gamit,” shares Anthony who turned 33 two days after his wedding.

Well anonymous could be dead wrong. It is very easy for anyone to counter: Yung dinidiscuss ni Taberna ay yung gusto nyang idiscuss ng ordinaryong tao para maasar sa gobyerno. (in short propaganda).

Nigel also said the government is doing nothing about the issues. Obviously, the issues are true and government wouldn't do anything to damn itself. Sorry Nigel, I am not pro government, so I do not have any problem of trashing it. But your Taberna is not really discussing the issue to the truth. That is the reason why nothing good is happening. Taberna and the rest of the mass media do not want to get to the truth for they are part of the (and other bigger) crimes. So what the opposition and their mass media want is to have another People Power, so that the truth will not be exposed while they have a better chance to grab and rise to power.
