Six Reasons why PGMA is still President: Reason #3

Don't get me wrong. I am not PGMA's fan. In fact, I do not like PGMA to stay even one day more in Malacanang. The problem is I do not like whatever possibilities there are after PGMA is gone. So far,we have identified two definite reasons why PGMA is still there, despite all the flak thrown at her:

Reason #1: Everyone cheated last elections.
Reason #2: We do not have an answer to "What's next?".

The above I think are the two main reasons, but there are other reasons...

Reason #3: The main group that are throwing flak at PGMA are less endowed with intelligence than the people supporting her.

And when I say they, I mean the opposition, or more clearly... former President Estrada's (Erap's) camp. Surely, it was them that will benefit most in case PGMA goes down, or at least they have a chance of getting to a better position than where they are now.

And why did I say that?

Well, had they been endowed with better intelligence, they would not have had been doing the banging themselves for they have already lost their credibility long ago. Had they been wiser, they would not have invited Imee Marcos to go side by side with Chiz Escudero on opposition rallies and interviews. Every thinking mind already knows their not-so-hidden agenda... which is (1) to release their titular head (Erap) from detention and (2) wrest power for themselves to get control again of the countries' coffers (I am not saying that PGMA's group does not have this agenda themselves in the first place).

Their problem is they do not have any sense of timing. They do not have any (again) credibility. They are not even united nor do they have the ability to get their acts together. They do not even know who is with them. They just want to fire all their guns all at once, left and right.

And yes, they did not do proper investigation on the Garci tapes. They did not first cover their own tracks before they use the tapes. All they want is to get a confession from their witnesses (why on earth do they need to ask questions that obviously are self-incriminating when answered truthfully?). They just want Secretary Bunye to say that the voice on the tapes are indeed PGMA's, they want Norberto Gonzales to admit that he did something illegal, they want the First Gentleman to admit he paid bribes, and they want Garcillano and PGMA to admit they cheated (everyone knows that all these admissions wouldn't happen)!

Wow. I hate to say this, but isn't this stupidity at the supreme level?

I do not say that PGMA's group has the sense of timing and the credibility nor do they act in concert with one another. No.. no.. no... What I am saying is that the opposition is worse than the administration.

And that's what got Erap to detention in the first place!

Six Reasons why PGMA is still President: Reason #2

Reason #2: We do not have an answer to "What's next?"

In case we got rid of PGMA, what's next...? That is just the question well meaning Pinoys just can't get any decent answer to. And if we do not have an answer to this, how can we all be united in booting PGMA out?

Let us say the Vice President takes over after PGMA, which is the natural and only constitutional answer to the question. Well and good. Yes, he is who's elected and he is who we get, whether we like it or not. Fine. But wait.., isn't he guilty of cheating in elections too? Isn't Loren Legarda the real winner for VP, and wouldn't she have damning evidence that Noli is the bigger cheat than even PGMA? And, didn't he, like FPJ, hid from interviews and debates and sold us his popularity rather than his competence, and isn't that one shameless form of cheating?

Believe me, and I know most realize and fear this too more than fearing a De Castro presidency: If PGMA get's ousted, Noli will be ousted too (shortly after PGMA). So after Noli, who? Drilon? De Venecia? All these cheats?

And if not Noli, who? Erap? Ramos? Cory? Susan? Loren? Madam Auring? Amay (Bisaya)?

What's next, really?

Six Reasons why PGMA is still President: Reason #1

With all the "Hello Garci" scandal and negative publicity after that, many thought that PGMA will not survive 2005. Now, its 2006, PGMA is still in Malacanang, and seems to be stronger, reporting that the economy is better (really?), while those politicians against her are deemed either sore losers or coup plotters.

What could be the reason? I got six real reasons and one spin.

Reason #1: All election winners (and even losers) cheated, or at least most did, and everybody knows and accepts that.

It is true. Everybody cheated in the last elections. I do not have the documents to prove it but it is true. Logic says it is true. And everybody knows it.

Say FPJ did not cheat? Wow, I did not know you are easily fooled. Let us say for a moment you are buying fish in the market. Yes really cheap, but the vendor doesnt want you to examine the fish. The vendor just gave you a movie of a fresh fish with really nice gills and all. You bought it (you were easily fooled, remember? ... but I cannot blame you, you saw all the other fishes and you grew tired of them) and the vendor wrapped something in a nice little package. Then when you came home, you realized that all you got are fishbones. Now tell me again, FPJ did not cheat? He cheated right from the start, not submitting himself to proper scrutiny... because if he did so, he would have been a comedian and not anymore the action king. Everybody could have realized him fishbones.

So if everybody, even the popular FPJ cheated in the last elections, then what is the fuzz about "Hello Garci" then (not necessarily my logic) when everybody knows it already?

In fact, everybody knows that PGMA will cheat, and that is the reason why many voted for her (instead of Roco who has the least capacity to cheat!)! Pinoys have long ago lost hope with honesty in goverment and accepts the fact that everybody cheats. Pinoys are numbed already with too much cheating in elections that everyone thinks that this is the way to live.

So why would anyone think that if it is proven (not yet even) that PGMA cheated, she could be unseated?
